The Simpsons Movie 2: Treehouse of Horror is a 2023 musical film and sequel to The Simpsons Movie, featuring the same voice cast from the show and previous movie. It will actually take place in Chicago on Halloween, and Kang and Kodos won’t be the main villains. It will officially release on October 27th, 2023

Plot Synopsis[]

"When a small meteorite comes to Earth and crashes through the roof of Bart's treehouse. The cosmic radiation coming from the treehouse causes strange things through Springfield. Meanwhile, the citizens of Springfield are celebrating Halloween."

Plot[]

The movie starts with a green, glowing meteorite zooming through space. It quickly gains speed, and passes by Kang and Kodos' ship, waking both of them up. They report it to their superiors on Rigel IV, and Commander Grander asks if it was glowing green. Kang and Kodos say it was glowing green, and Commander Grander tells them that it contains high ammounts of Spacetanium, which is the special type of energy they need to power the Rigel V Space Station. Meanwhile, on Earth, the meteorite speeds through Earth's atmosphere and arrives in Springfield, a small city in the United States of America. It crashes through the roof of Bart Simpson's treehouse, and lands on the floor. The radiation from it begins to spread through the area, affecting the citizens of Springfield as they sleep. The next day, Homer is watching TV, and news reporter Kent Brockman says that it's almost Halloween in Springfield, and Mayor Joe Quimby is working on the annual City Hall Halloween Ball. Bart and Lisa run up to Homer and tell him it's time to go shopping for Halloween costumes. Homer asks why they can't go get them with Marge, and the kids say that Marge went shopping for candy to give out to the trick-or-treaters. Homer goes with them to the store, and all the good costumes are sold out, so Homer gets Bart a penguin costume, Lisa a Barack Obama costume, and makes her wear blackface, and Maggie a rainbow afro wig. The kids complain about the lousy costumes they got, and Homer says he it's not his fault all the costumes the store has are crap. They walk into the parking lot to get to their car, when they see Chief Wiggum chasing and trying to catch Ralph, who is strangely floating through the air. The entire town gasps as Ralph flies up into outer space, apparently never to be seen again. Chief Wiggum is devastated, and Homer, trying to cheer him up, brings him to Moe's to drown his sorrows in beer, where Homer and the other barflies sing a song called "Who Needs Ralph?" in an unsuccesful attempt to cheer him up. Meanwhile, Marge has a meeting of her book club, but instead of discussing books, the other members begin discussing all of the strange things going on in Springfield recently. Lindsey Naegle theorizes that pollution from the Power Plant is causing all this madness, but Marge doubts it. All of the sudden, Krusty, who is covered in flames, bursts down the door and screams for help. Everyone in the book club is terrified, so Marge rushes to the kitchen, gets a glass of water, and splashes it on Krusty. Krusty says he was just shopping in the store, when it started to get really hot, and out of nowhere he burst into flames. Krusty passes out due to his injuries and is brought to the hospital, where Dr. Hibbert tells Marge that he has examined Krusty's blood, and that it seems to be irradiated for some reason. Marge asks Dr. Hibbert if Krusty will be okay, and Dr. Hibbert says that Krusty will live, but it'll take him five months to heal from the burns. While Krusty is hospitalized, a religious show called "Mr. Flanders' Bible Tales", hosted by Ned Flanders, airs in place of the Krusty the Clown Show. Bart and Lisa are watching the show, which neither of them like that much, when Marge comes in and tells them to be cautious, because lots of strange things are happening around town. Later, Bart is outside playing around with his slingshot, and shoots a pebble through the window of the Flanders' house. Ned, Edna, Rod, and Todd see it and scream, thinking it's another supernatural thing. Bart laughs, and then smells something strange. The smell is coming from the treehouse, so he goes inside of it and sees the glowing meteorite. He brings it to Marge, who is freaked out and tells him not to touch it. Bart drops it on the floor and Marge picks it up with oven mits. Marge and Bart bring it to Frink's lab, where Professor Frink examines it. Frink tells Marge that it contains high amounts of Spacetanium, a rare type of cosmic radiation. Frink says that the high amount of Spacetanium in the area may be what's causing all the strange events in the city. Meanwhile, Homer is still trying to cheer up Chief Wiggum, but nothing he tries works. While walking through town, they are attacked by a small, pink furry creature with sharp teeth and glasses. Homer and Chief Wiggum both scream, and Homer kicks it in the groin. The creature falls to the ground and groans in pain, revealing it's actually Hans Moleman. Hans says he woke up one morning with sharp teeth and pink fur. Homer, Wiggum, and Moleman suddenly notice some bright lights in the sky, and out of nowhere, several huge alien ships land on top of the Jebediah Springfield statue, crushing it flat to the ground. Out of the ships come several Rigelians, led by Kang and Kodos, who begin chanting the traditional "Rigelian War Song" as they march through the city, destorying everything with their advanced weaponry. Kang and Kodos attack City Hall, where several volunteers are setting up for the annual Halloween Ball, which is the next day. Kang tells Mayor Quimby that he and the Rigelian armada have come to Springfield to take the Spacetanium, which they claim is rightfully theirs. Mayor Quimby says he doesn't know what Kang is talking about, and Kang, thinking that Quimby is lying and keeping all the Spacetanium for himself, attacks him. Quimby and Kang have a big fist fight, and Quimby is defeated when Kang hits him over the head with a large board that has a nail in it. Kang orders Kodos to bring Quimby to the "slave pits". Kodos says they haven't dug the slave pits yet, and Kang impatiently orders Kodos to dig the slave pits and then put Quimby in them. Kang and Kodos use their advanced alien telepathic abilities to send a message to the mind of all humans in Springfield, saying that they must go to City Hall immediately. At City Hall, Kang tells the Springfieldians that the Rigelians come in peace, and that they will only destroy the planet if nobody gives them the meteorite. Frink, Marge, and Bart, who have the meteorite, refuse to give it to Kang because they don't trust him. Kang uses his telepathic powers to levitate the meteorite into the air and bring it over to him. He has all the Springfieldians thrown in the slave pits, where Homer and the other Simpsons try to inspire the others to band together and stop the aliens from destroying Earth. At first, all their attempts fail, until Homer bursts into song and convinces everybody to help save Earth. They outnumber and outmatch the dimwitted Rigelian guards, steal some laser blasters, and go to war with Kang, who is about to activate a huge atomic bomb they have planted in the Earth's core that will wipe out everything on the entire planet. The citizens of Springfield have a huge battle with the aliens, and most of the city is destroyed in the process. Kang gets onto his spaceship to escape back to Rigel IV, but Homer and Chief Wiggum get on his spaceship and fight him as it lifts off and starts to fly up into space. Kang quickly presses a button that activates a huge laser beam. The beam is about to blast and destroy Earth, but Ralph flies up to it and pushes it away, so the blast misses Earth completely. Ralph goes inside the spaceship to see his dad, but is attacked by Kang. Ralph grabs Kang and throws him out into space. The three humans return to Earth in the ship and tell the aliens they are already defeated, as their leader, Kang, has been destroyed. The aliens thank the humans for destroying their cruel and bossy leader, Kang, once and for all. The aliens leave Earth in the spaceship and return to Rigel IV, where Kodos tells Commander Grander that they lost the war. Back on Earth, Professor Frink destroys the meteorite with a special machine, and everybody in Springfield celebrates Halloween.
