Plot
Scratchy, who has a broken leg, happily walks through the forest with the help of a pair of crutches. Suddenly, a dam behind him bursts, and a rush of water barrels down upon him. He screams loudly, which Itchy hears. He abandons his task of collecting cheese to investigate the scream.
Scratchy tries in vain to out-run the rushing water, while Itchy rushes to save him. Realizing the futility of his efforts, a tear rolls down Scratchy's cheek as certain death is only seconds away. Luckily, Itchy saves Scratchy from the raging water at the last second.
As Scratchy celebrates his rescue, he is suddenly decapitated by a tree branch that Itchy holds him up to. Blood gushes from Scratchy's neck and Itchy laughs. He spots a piece of cheese and gets an idea.
Itchy rings the doorbell to Scratchy's home and Scratchy's mother answers the door, crying at the assumed loss of his son to the flood. She dries her eyes and Itchy holds up Scratchy's body, now with a piece of cheese on his neck and and a crudely drawn face on the piece of cheese. Not realizing something is wrong, Scratchy's mother takes and hugs Scratchy's dead body. As Itchy runs away, the piece of cheese falls off Scratchy's body and blood squirts all over his mother's face. Nevertheless, Scratchy's mother smiles and thanks Itchy, still oblivious to his son's death.
